HPI: 39yo male presents with weakness, double vision and shortness of breath 4 hours after a snake bite. Patient was clearing brush in his yard when he was bitten on the arm by a small snake. He reports that the snake was “black, red and yellow.” He washed the bite with soap and water. Later that evening, he developed double vision and his legs began to feel weak.
